We are looking for software engineers for the Employee Experience team who will be responsible for building scalable services that span horizontally across the Viva ecosystem. This job has the option to be in Redmond WA or remote. The Employee Experience team is run as a start-up, encouraging team members to share a sense of “founderism”. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Developing RESTful services at a global scale with millions of customers.
• Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members.
• Collaborate with Partner Engineering Teams on co-development and collaboration efforts across Viva.
• Exhibit customer obsession and operational excellence on owned projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of software design and development experience in backend technologies; C, C#, C++, or Java
• Experience building, delivering, and maintaining distributed systems / microservices architectures (Azure or comparable cloud)
• Practical experience with the tradeoffs of using different cloud technologies in storage, caching, and compute.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong technical abilities around service design, coding, debugging, and problem solving
• Excellent verbal, written and cross-group collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent field experience
• Ability to work on cross-platform code
