WAREHOUSE/BACKUP COUNTER PERSON (UNION)

Compensation Rate: $20.91 to $26.12

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ability to work in all departments if required (shipping, receiving, order picking, yard)

· Accurately receive material and/or pick and ship orders

· Ensure all paperwork is completed properly and documents maintained for shipping or receiving purposes

· Organize products efficiently and maintain inventories

· Pull products from the yard and warehouse as required

· Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties

· General warehouse duties and maintenance as needed

· Notify supervisors of problems that are not resolvable

· Restock materials when required

· When necessary, assist customers on our counter

· Responds to inquiries and orders

· Sources materials for customers when currently not in stock

· Receives, processes, and verifies the accuracy of orders from customers

· Responds to requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order/customer information files

· Maintains knowledge base on current products and learning about new products

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy

· Good multi-tasker with the ability to work to and meet deadlines

· Reliable, ability to carry out tasks correctly while under pressure

· Ability to follow instructions meticulously

· Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised

· Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude

· Ability to process orders in an organized and esthetic manner

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· Minimum grade 12 education required

· Previous warehouse experience required

· Previous plumbing and/or electrical industry experience required

· Forklift Experience an asset
