Muskoka Rock Company and Hutcheson Sand & Gravel are hiring!

We are looking to hire experienced delivery drivers for our 2023 Season!

This position will be based out of Huntsville Ontario, but travel throughout the Province will be required.

We are looking for:

• Roll Off Truck Driver (DZ Required)
• Tri-Axle Driver (AZ Required and tag experience required)
• Flatbed with moffett Driver (DZ Required)

In these roles you will use a variety of equipment to delivery finished goods, haul materials/waste or debris and raw products to and from company and client sites.

Drivers should be comfortable hooking and unhooking containers and trailers.

Drivers must ensure that safe loading and unloading procedures are followed and ensuring correct load securement techniques are utilized for our various materials that are transported.

Deliveries and product transfers will take place in a variety of conditions including: Urban, residential, suburban, all seasons and driving conditions can be expected.

The ideal candidate will have trucking experience, be comfortable using two way communication, GPS/Mapping software, smart phone, company apps and Electronic Logging Devices.

Duties & Responsibilities

● Haul finished goods, waste or debris

● Ensure proper handling of good including loading, unloading & securing

● Follow all OHSA and MTO legislation

● Completion of daily truck logs, inspections and documentation for pick ups/deliveries/transfers

● Complete hooking and unhooking of containers and trailers

● Operating a Single Axle truck with trailer to deliver finished products, aggregates or landscape products on occasion. This includes loading, unloading, load securement, etc.

● Provide customer service and represent the company when on customer job sites, making deliveries or pick ups and while driving company vehicles

Requirements & Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Valid Commercial Drivers License (AZ preferred). A drivers abstract and insurability is a requirement prior to beginning employment with Muskoka Rock Company or Hutcheson Sand & Gravel

● Able to lift up to 50lbs, sit for long periods of time, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach

● Trucking experience and/or flat deck trailering experience required
