RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the day-to-day intake and access operations for Critical Trauma Therapy. This is a vital role within the organization and we are looking for someone who can grow within the company. Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Operating and overseeing intake and referral services at Critical Trauma Therapy, ensuring all clients are screened and referred in a timely manner to the appropriate internal health care provider

· Reviewing medical documents and preparing formal letters and reports

· Ensuring accurate completion of screening documents; creating and maintaining client files

· Responding appropriately and in a timely manner to crisis situations, including assessing high-risk behaviours (self-harm, suicide) and referring to crisis services under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional

· Handling communications between health care providers, clients, legal representatives, and insurance adjusters

· Establishing liaison with other access systems, agencies/providers of community health services in Ontario, New Brunswick and Labrador, and Nova Scotia

· Independent weekly audit of intake procedures (spreadsheets)

· Collect and document information related to extended health benefits

· Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with company policies

· Other administrative duties to support service functioning as required

**MVA experience an asset. Knowledge of HCAI preferred.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Advanced verbal and written communications skills

· Applied computer skills (Microsoft Office, Client Information Systems, Web browsing);

· Relevant University Degree (Social Service Worker; Mental Health; Psychology; Sociology; Medical Administration; etc.)

· Experience working in a fast-paced work environment

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Demonstrated strong time management skills

· Preference will be given to individuals with experience in an administrative position and with experience in human services

ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

· Suicide Intervention Training (e.g. ASIST)

· Mental Health First Aid Training

· Knowledge of Brain Injuries and/or Catastrophic Impairments

· Experience working in the field of Motor Vehicle Accidents

· Registration with a regulatory body such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers

· Experience in crisis support and intervention

· Knowledge of trauma-informed care

· Fluency in a second language is an asset

Our dietary specialists assist in the development of healthy and balanced meal plans, clinical guidance for weight loss/ gain/ maintenance, and optimized nutritional intake strategies based on any condition (cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurological, musculoskeletal etc.). We work with you to achieve your nutritional goals.

​​Our therapists have experience working with various populations and treating a multitude of complex impairments such as: Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anger Management Programming/ Counselling, Substance Abuse and Addictions, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorder, Somatic Symptom Disorder, Chronic Pain, Caregiver and Workplace Burnout, Relationship Trauma, Phobia (ex./Driving, Social, Agoraphobia), Eating Disorders, Amputations, Spinal Cord Injury, Development Disorders (ex./ Autism), and Neurological Disorders. We are also skilled at navigating government-funding programming such as Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and accessing community-based support services. As a multidisciplinary team, we have the advantage of providing holistic treatment to aid in your recovery and rehabilitation journey.
