Job Summary
Walter Surface Technology is rapidly growing and is seeking a Webmaster to transform Walter. At Walter the entrepreneurial mindset will enable you to truly steer many projects with the experience that you are bringing to the table. We are seeking an individual that has the drive to act as the product owner for all websites, intranet, Mobile applications and specifically the Product Information Management system (PIM). He/She works very closely with the Data & Analytics team to deploy the retained solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the migration team’s effort to upgrade from a legacy environment to the latest
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Salsify Platform.
  • Planning, developing, programming, and implementing new components to the corporate walter.com site and intranet as well as the maintenance of existing mobile applications (9 in total).
  • Creating system interfaces using coding engines and various programming languages, primarily Apex.
  • Creating value by connecting the ERP, CRM, PIM with Headless API, SOAP & REST API with the new web platform.
  • Testing, analyzing, and modifying software systems once they have been released into the pre- prod and production environment.
  • Production support, troubleshooting assistance to DevOps teams

Job Duties:

Website transformation:

  • Influence the future Architecture design of a new website
  • Connect Tecsys (ERP) to Salesforce & Salsify with Mulesoft / SOAP APIs
  • Connect other Salesforce products with Mulesoft / REST APIs
  • PIM (Product Information Management system) o Support PIM Migration from a legacy internally developed system to Salsify PIM by Q3 o Manage & maintain the Salsify PIM platform o PIM Subject Matter Expert and key point of contact for the internal customers
  • Integration of 2 websites contents into main site Walter.com

Support

  • Manage Security and user permission to edit content and set boundaries
  • Coordinate Dev to Prod implementation globally (Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil)
  • Manage Helpdesk request through Service Desk+ ticketing system and Support Marketing and R&D team to update web content when necessary
  • Manage company-owned domains names. (regroup, eliminate domain not needed anymore.)

Mobile App (9 in total)

  • Migrate, rebuild or decommission mobile apps that have dependency with website migration
  • Develop, manage, upgrade & enhance mobile apps

Upgrades & Updates

  • Coordinate UI-UX initiative to revamp Walter.com in the coming years
  • Migrate the Intranet features required to support critical business functions (4 countries)
  • Decommission old infrastructure with minimal service interruption

Strategy

  • Support Marketing in defining Website roadmap for our Web presence and the cost and effort justification for the continuous improvement
  • Maintain Salesforce architecture to accommodate future & growth

Required Skills

  • Knowledge regarding building or modifying Mobile Apps
  • Familiarity with NGINX, IIS and other hosting engines
  • Experience with Apex, SOQL, JAVA, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.
  • Experience with programming utilities such as text editors, formatters, compilers, and debuggers.
  • Practical working knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, Linux
  • Working knowledge of local/wide area networks, firewalls, server-client architectures, security best practices, and so on.
  • Adept at creating test cases and test plans.

Required Aptitudes

  • Attention to detail, with the ability to self-edit code.
  • Able to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills.

Experience & Education:

Education: College or University degree in computer science or programming, equivalent education/experience in the computer science field

Pertinent experience: Minimum of 3 years direct work experience as a programmer or systems analyst.

Language requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, French functional is desired.
