Role: Linux/Unix Admin
Location: Montreal
Duration- Long Term
1. Configure Linux servers as per requirements
2. Troubleshoot issues related to Linux Servers
3. Have experience with other distributions such as RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS, Others
4. Update patches on the servers
5. Upgrade servers to latest versions
6. Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
7. Strong knowledge on configure failover IP configuration
8. Working with vendor during sev 1 issues
Satellite server:
9. Creating content view and publish content view
10. Managing hosts and host groups
11. Upgrade satellite version as per requirement
12. Managing activation keys
13. Troubleshooting connectivity issues between client to satellite server
14. Strong knowledge and must have hands-on experience on AIX, VIO and HMC
15. VIO upgrades/adapter firmware upgrades/VIO failover/maintenance procedures
16. HMC updates/frame upgrades/Live partition mobility/DLPAR/troubleshooting HMC issues
17. Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.
18. Support AIX OS to run various software applications.
19. Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS.
20. Flexibility to work outside of Business Hours to support any critical issues
21. Knowledge on and ability to follow Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management Process.
22. Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities
23. Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple geographically dispersed teams
1. ITIL Certification
2. Any Technical Certification
3. Strong communication and interface skills
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Montréal, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
