Summary

Simply Solventless Concentrates Ltd. (SSC) is hiring a Production Supervisor – Evening Shift to support the manufacturing of solventless cannabis extracts. This position is located close to Calgary, Alberta, 10 minutes west of Airdrie.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Supervisor - Evening Shift is responsible for leading a team of Process Leads, and Processing and Packaging Technicians on the evening shift in the manufacture of solventless cannabis concentrates including bubble hash, live rosin, hash rosin, flower rosin, dry sift, and traditional hash products. The Production Supervisor – Evening Shift will perform these duties while diligently following, and ensuring workers follow all processing and facility related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and complying with all company policies and Health Canada regulatory requirements.

The Production Supervisor – Evening Shift brings to SSC a proven track record of setting and meeting ambitious goals.

Reports to: Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the evening shift team in the on-time completion of processing and packaging work orders including the production and packaging of:
• Bubble Hash;
• Live Rosin;
• Dry Sift;
• Traditional Hash;
• Infused Pre-Rolls;
• Other solventless concentrates.
• Ensure all evening shift production workers have up-to-date training and follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, good production practices and standard operating procedures.
• Training of new evening shift production staff.
• Review evening shift production batch records and assisting with inventory reconciliation activities related to production work orders.
• Reporting on evening shift production rates.
• Performance management of evening shift workers.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to production equipment and processes.
• Assist with various other duties as required including direct, hands-on participation in production when required.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 Years of Manufacturing or Production experience.
• 1 to 2 Years in a supervisory position within a Manufacturing or Production facility.
• Prior experience in the cannabis industry, food and beverage industry or other industries where Good Production Practices (GPP) or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed is preferred.
• Interest in building a career in the cannabis industry.
• Must be able to work in the facility located 10 minutes west of Airdrie.
• Has own transportation, or a reliable carpool.
• Availability to participate in rotating On-Call program for security and emergency response at the facility.

• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
• Gets along well in a team atmosphere and able to work independently when required.
• Ability to multitask and swiftly switch between tasks.
• Excels in a fast-paced environment.
• Health Canada Security Clearance is required for this role.
• Available to work overtime when required.
