Salary: $120,000 – $125,000 CAD per annum
Duties:
Develop, maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001 standard that will ensure only high quality products and services reach to Ingenia Customers
Integrate Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO14001 with QMS ISO9001 and maintain both under one management system.
Maintain ISO certification for both QMS and EMS systems.
Oversee conformance to procedures that affect product quality by all employees.
Oversee conformance to procedures that affect environmental aspects by all plant’s processes.
Provide effective resolution to customer complaints and internal corrective actions.
Provide immediate and professional response to customer inquiries.
Train and develop Quality Assurance Specialist and Quality Control technicians /Operators.
Ensure adequacy of QC testing methods to prevent release of non-conforming products.
Provide informed decisions on dispositions of non-conforming materials.
Collaborate with R&D on design and development of new products to ensure manufacturing and testing capability.
Collaborate with R&D on the certification procedures of new crosslinkable “superlink” products of the company.
Ensure the quality of Peroxide crosslinking “superlink” products of the company and the reliability of relevant QC testing procedures.
Good knowledge of evaluation methods for the hydraulic long term strength of Ingenia’s “superlink” products, used for the production of rotational molding plastic Tanks for water and fuel storage application.
Ensure a safe laboratory environment for all quality technicians
Collaborate with Technical Service Representatives for technical assistance to the pipe manufacture customers of the company
Improve reliability and effectiveness of Quality Control methods.
Collaborate with Engineering Manager on the development of newly hired Engineers and Training Programs
Collaborate with Engineers with the Trial Development and mutually acceptable product & customer specifications
Collaborate with R&D, Engineers and Business Managers to develop statistically acceptable specifications, both relating to internal and customer specifications
Support Plant and Product Safety
Ensure Plant Compliance to DOT and OSHA
Collaborate with Other Quality Managers to standardize ISO and quality plans and procedures
Collaborate with other Quality Managers relating to actions defined in the monthly Corporate and Team Meetings
Support the Production Manager and Department by auditing and coaching operators on safety and product compliance
Troubleshooting all quality product cases in extrusion and grinding processes of the company
Direct quality control inspections
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- Master’s degree in Material science is preferred
- Five to ten years of supervisory experience in manufacturing are required
