Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Reporting to: Director of Quality

Role Definition:

We are seeking a Bilingual Quality Assurance Supervisor specializing in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, as well as product and process improvements to support the Director of Quality in quality management, ensuring compliance and adherence to company policy and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support management and maintenance of the Company’s quality procedures and ISO system
  • Act as the organizational liaison with customers and suppliers on quality issues, coordinating cross-departmentally
  • Provide technical guidance and quality compliance to customers and process RMA’s
  • Assist in managing quality team’s workload
  • Oversee Product Inspections and FA/PPAP Evaluation
  • Participate in Technical Reviews for new and potential projects
  • Participate in PFD, PFMEA, CP development,
  • Ensure that the quality system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and 13485 requirements
  • Report on the performance of the quality system to Quality Lead for review and as a basis for improvement
  • Audit the quality system
  • Initiate corrective and preventive action on products, process, and quality system nonconformities, ensure CAR actions are active and perform root cause analysis
  • Assist in evaluating the quality assurance programs of suppliers and/or subcontractors
  • Participate in external quality audits
  • Identify and execute Improvement projects
  • Handle certificate requests (RoHS, REACH, etc)
  • Audit tool and equipment calibration
  • Assist in qualifying suppliers according to company standards
  • Audit production lines and document results
  • Assist in training implementation and effectiveness
  • Define Risk Management objectives and required actions by product and process
  • Assist in Risk Hunt Assessments
  • Represent Company in regulatory affairs
  • Travel internationally to other facilities when required
  • Perform other related duties as required, serving as a backup to the Quality Assurance Manager

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ relevant professional experience in Quality Control in a fast-paced Lean manufacturing environment
  • College or University Degree in Engineering (Electric/Electronic, Mechanical/Mechatronics, Quality or related)
  • Experience in QMS and quality system internal audits

§ Comfortable traveling internationally when required

  • Bilingual with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of electrical principles
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Detail oriented and meticulous
  • Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Knowledge of Process Flow, PFMEA and Control Plan
  • Knowledge of APQP an asset
  • Knowledge of IPC 620 an asset
  • Experience with, IATF 16949, ISO13485 and AS9100 an asset
