Sarpino’s Pizzeria Lake Cowichan is looking to expand our team and looking for Full-time and Part-time Shift Supervisors. Our goal is to provide quality service while maintaining highest standards established by Sarpino’s Pizzeria Canada. As our corporate store quality and service is of utmost importance to us. We set the standards for our future and current franchisee stores. . We are looking to add energetic, passionate and dedicated team members to our corporate team.

The position involves several supervisory responsibilities including supervising team scheduled on a particular shift, reporting to the management team, assist in planning week to week operations, directing staff to achieve and maintain high standards and control costs. Following are some of the duties you will be expected to perform:

· Maintain standard of operation by implementing store policies.

· Assist in training staff for various positions necessary to efficiently operate the store.

· Co-ordinate Scheduled staff based on weekly and monthly sales expectations. Reschedule staff, if necessary, in case of any sick call or emergency leave.

· Control shift to shift labor and food cost while maintaining high service standards and food quality.

· Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.

· Oversee day to day operations including daily sales, assigning daily, weekly, and monthly checklists as well as maintaining daily and shift food par levels.

· Lead & monitor team on floor during peak hours including prepping food, working on different food stations, delivering food, and providing customer service.

· Address any customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.

· Maintain health and safety standards for staff as per Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

· Maintain food safety, cleaning, and sanitization standards as per VIHA guidelines.

· Provide Weekly and Monthly reports to Management.

· Monitor and update management on equipment maintenance and required necessary repair.

Employment Requirements:

· Completion of a high school or program in hospitality management, Culinary Management, or restaurant management with some hands-on experience through co-op or apprenticeship

OR

at least 6-12 months of work experience in food industry with high school. Management experience not a must as we are willing to train in management position.

· Food safe level 1 certification is a must.

· Must be willing/able to work weekdays, weekends, and late nights.

· Must be willing to work under pressure and fast paced environment during peak service periods.

· This position will be focused on rotating shifts so must be willing to work morning, afternoon, or late night into next morning.

· Ability to supervise and direct 1-3 staff members in various positions and work responsibilities.

· Candidate must be moderately proficient in English.
