Warranty Administrator Job at Southland International Trucks
Southland International Trucks Ltd. - Is seeking a candidate to fill the recent vacancy in our Warranty Administrator role. We are offering full time work in this position. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the Warranty Department, as well as working closely in conjunction with Service Department staff and other staff within the business.

Southland International Trucks is a truck and trailer dealership in Lethbridge, Alberta. Since our establishment in 1985, we have remained locally owned and operated, serving our city with pride. We specialize in new and used International trucks, as well as Doepker and Renn trailers. Over the years, our product and service offerings have evolved to include a 170+ unit rental fleet under the Idealease network, and online part sales that reach people around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Warranty Administration including regular review of open claims and providing guidance on course of action as required.
- Assist dealership staff with warranty procedure questions as needed.
- Assist A/R & A/P personnel in obtaining information needed to collect and pay RO's/purchase invoices
- Monitor warranty receivables to ensure claims are paid in a timely manner, and work with the Service Manager in taking necessary action to maintain a current schedule
- Review, analyze and distribute warranty documentation, month end warranty reports, and warranty/service bulletins to technicians and dealership personnel as required.
- Post and reconcile warranty payments. Ensure necessary actions are taken for appeals, labor adjustments, short payments, and chargebacks.
- Prepare Journal entries for warranty adjustments.
- Work with various stakeholders to ensure all necessary warranty claiming information is received (Service Managers, Shop Foremen, Service Advisors, Dealership employees, and external vendors).
- Prepare and post monthly parts account activity to be reviewed by the Controller.
- Reporting on open work orders.
- Preparing internal and external invoices to be sent to accounting.
