Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Welder for our Grande Prairie facility located in Hythe, Alberta. This position is responsible for ensuring continuous improvements and perform tasks relating to your classifications.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operated manual or semi-automatic welding: gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), and resistance welding
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be a qualified licensed tradesman in the Province of Alberta, Journeyman or Apprentice
- CWB tickets an asset
- Maintains a set of tools to perform welding functions
- Safety Training an asset but will train as required
