About the Role

Training Coordinator
Full-time
Somerville, NB, Fredericton, NB, Moncton, NB

The Training Coordinator lead is a key member of shared services and will be responsible for the development and implementation of a job training program within shared services. The training coordinator lead will communicate with managers to identify training needs and map out the necessary training strategies to ensure that team members are being successful at meeting objectives. This position will be responsible for ensuring that training aids and other documentation is to support onboarding new team members and existing team members as new functionality is made available. The individual will be work with project leaders understanding new functionality so all are successful when it is launched.

How You’ll Help

  • Map out training plans meeting shared services expectations
  • Design and develop all necessary training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Support the onboarding process within Shared Services
  • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Ensure their efforts are focused and they are supporting our objectives
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session to support an environment of continuous improvement
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter expert
  • Other related duties as may be required

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related education with at least two years of work experience in related field
  • 5 yrs. relevant experience in job training
  • Experience in a shared services environment would be an asset
  • Experience in the transportation industry an asset
  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills with an ability to engage business partners to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
